When I was first pregnant, finding free baby stuff near me became a top priority! I knew that we needed help affording all of these things, and that I also wanted to know which products were the best of the best.

Pregnant?! Get All the Free Baby Stuff You Can!
Yay! You’re likely here because you’re an expecting mother (or dad, grandparent, or even a caretaker in general!) and you’ve quickly realized just how expensive new babies can be. You’re in the right place as in this article I’m outlining free baby stuff that you can get near you – or if not right near you, things that you can request that you’ll get right away, or even free baby sample kits by mail that you can request.
One of the most important free things that you can do for your family is to create a Child ID kit. It’s simple and it’s easy, and it’s also free. You can get a printable free child id kit here!
Look to the OB/GYN for Sweet Free Baby Samples
Your first stop to confirm your pregnancy and choose a delivery doctor will likely be the gynecologist. And, as good news should have it, they’re usually chock full of free baby samples! And, since you’ll be at the baby doctor quite often, especially during your last trimester, you can ask if there are any new free baby samples each time you go in. You’ll often find that they have free formula samples, and even free diaper samples as well!
Is there a Way to Get Free Maternity Clothes?
Once you’re done worrying about how you’re going to afford 2500 disposable diapers in the first year of a baby’s life, you’re likely to think about that one event coming up during your pregnancy that you’ll need to dress up for – or how you’ll get through approximately 4-5 months with your baby bump in work clothes. I write all about why I love StitchFix Maternity here but they’re offering a free $25 Maternity clothes credit here right now if you’re interested!

How to Get Free Baby Stuff by Mail
My biggest and best tip of getting free baby stuff by mail is signing up for the rewards programs that the companies have. Honestly. And, I know that’s probably not what you wanted to hear, but it’s true! Once the top baby product companies (think formula, diapers, big box stores) find out that you’re having a baby, they’re all over offering you free baby coupons, free samples, and free products. I’ve even gotten free Starbucks gift cards for buying Huggies diapers!

How to Find Free Baby Stuff Near Me
Registries, registries, registries!
Registries are the best way to get free baby stuff in your hands asap. Whether you register online or in store at the brick and mortar location, you’ll likely get a goodie bag full of baby stuff. Although some stores have gotten away from giving a goodie bag full of free samples, many are still offering a very high value completion coupon, with some stores offering up to 20% off your purchase of items that are remaining on your registry after baby is born.
It is a smart idea to keep this in mind when doing your registry as this will work most times on the entire store.
Companies that offer a free goodie bag or registry completion coupon include:
