This Slow Cooker Pulled Pork is great for a weeknight meal and perfect for leftovers throughout the week. Don’t miss the loaded baked potato side dish, too.
Easy Weeknight Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
Slow cooker pulled pork is my go-to meal for when I know I’ve got a busy night and a busy week ahead. To me, it’s the perfect meal for leftovers and everyone in my family loves it – and, this recipe will make a ton, too – leaving for an easy week of cooking if I make a large enough roast.
There are so many slow cooker pulled pork recipes, but the reason that this one is adored in our family is that it’s so saucy and so flavorful. But, it’s not too sweet, either.
Is this Pulled Pork Recipe Slow Cooker friendly?
To make this — the best slow cooker pulled pork recipe you’ll literally toss everything in the crockpot (yes, you will need your slow cooker handy!) and let it cook for about 8 hours on low. If you are home and are able to stir and have a lesser cooking time, you can do boneless pork riblets which would cook faster than the boneless pork roast. In that case, you would cook the boneless pork riblets (about four pounds worth) for only four hours, stirring every hour or so.

What do I need on hand for my Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork?
- Meat thermometer
- 4 quart crock pot ( <— #1 best seller)
- Kitchen Scissors
- Cutting Boards
The pork roast will have more fat, and so, naturally a little more flavor. It’s totally a personal preference.
To make this BBQ Pulled Pork Slow Cooker Recipe:
Gather your ingredients (this recipe will make about 4-6 sandwiches – double if you want more)
- 2 pound boneless pork roast (or 2 pounds boneless pork riblets)
- 1/2 bottle barbeque sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar (omit if you don’t like a sweeter sauce/glaze)
Pour about 1/4 of the bottle of barbeque sauce onto the bottom of the crockpot. You can always use more.
Cut the butcher’s string off of the pork roast.
Place the pork roast into the crockpot and top with remaining ingredients.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours until roast pulls apart with a fork. Enjoy on a hamburger bun. 😀
If I may, devour this with my loaded twice baked potato side dish (delicious with barbeque!!)
