Banana Boat® SunComfort Sunscreen and OFF!® Insect Repellent are Staples in the Summer

Phew! Summer is definitely here! 😀 My kids both had their last days of school on June 7th so we’ve had some time to hop in the pool and do some adventuring around our town. Our son is really into basketball right now so he spends a lot of time at indoor courts experiencing camps and such, but we spend a lot of time outdoors as a family in the backyard, in the garden, at the park, going on walks and bike rides and like I mentioned, cooling off in the pool.
Both the park and our backyard play areas are a staple for us and that’s why I recently picked up my trusty from our local Walmart store. The prices and selection are really great at Walmart and these are the brands that I trust to take care of my family’s sun care and bug protection. I was recently asked by Banana Boat® and OFF!® to share with you how I use both of these products day to day during the summer and I wanted to share those today.
Our daughter who is five years old is really allergic to mosquitos and swells really badly at the onset of a bug bite, so OFF!® allows her to still enjoy the outdoors without having the repercussions of swollen mosquito bites that downright hurt and I am really grateful for that. If it weren’t for OFF!® insect repellent, she’d be spending a lot of her days and nights inside the house instead of with friends or at the park. The OFF!® Family-Care Smooth & Dry insect repellent is a personal favorite as it’s not a greasy formula that you and I remember from when we were kids. The OFF!® Family-Care Smooth & Dry goes on smooth and dry and with it’s clean smelling powder dry formula it’s not oily or greasy so my family is much more happy to let me spray their arms, legs and necks with it.
I’ll be the first to admit that when I head out to work in the garden, I give myself a few little spritzes of OFF!® insect repellent as well. I can spend an hour in the garden and getting eaten by bugs isn’t a fun way to spend time taking in one of my favorite hobbies so I come prepared with my secret weapon. 🙂
And, I can’t finish up my post about OFF!® and Banana Boat® without telling you how much Banana Boat® SunComfort sunscreen plays a part in our summers around here! Of course having it available is a staple for us to keep my skin safe as well as the kids, but I use Banana Boat® SunComfort daily in the summer in all of our outdoor activities because I trust it. While I know that Vitamin D is important for the body and skin, too much of it can really wreak havoc on the body so I am always prepared with both 50 SPF and 30 SPF at home, in my beach bag and in the car.
