To make steak fajitas at home, combine all of the ingredients in the marinade and lay the steak(s) in the marinade for 3-10 hours. If you're using flat iron steak, about 5-6 hours tops or your meat may fall apart when grilling - but the marinade really does give it a fantastic flavor.
-
Once your meat is done marinading, set it on your cast iron grill pan, making sure that you place it where you want it as this is where it will cook. Do not try to peel the steak off of the cast iron. When it is done cooking on that side you'll be able to remove it by pulling it up with a pair of tongs.
-
At the same time that you're grilling your steak, sauté your veggies. To do this, add your sliced veggies to a pan (you can use cast iron for this, too) and add your oil. Sprinkle sugar over the top and sauté over medium low heat. This will caramelize your vegetables and make them soft and delicious.

Once your steak is done cooking, slice it against the grain.

Top with sour cream, cheese, lettuce, salsa and anything else you love!
