Are you on the hunt for a Nest Thermostat sale? It’s no wonder as they can be pricey! I’m outlining every single Nest Thermostat coupon I can get my fingers on in this post. Take a peek at my findings below.
The VERY Best Nest Thermostat Sale Opportunities
I am all about keeping our home smart and efficient and one of the best ways to do this is to regulate the temperature inside the house to ensure that you’re not overspending on energy costs.
The Nest Thermostat does a fantastic job at this in learning the temperatures that your family keeps, acknowledging patterns of when you’re apt to come and go and even using smart home features that can track when you’re on your way back to the house to drop or rise the temperature to a seasonally comfortable temperature.
But, as you might know and have noticed in looking for a deal on the Nest Thermostat that finding a Nest Thermostat sale is pretty important as the Nest Thermostats are pricey!
In this post I’ve outlined all of the places that you’re most likely to find a Nest Thermostat sale, or a Nest Thermostat coupon. I’ll even do a Nest Thermostat comparison so you know the differences in features and price. So, here goes!
Places to Look for a Nest Thermostat Sale:
Amazon.com: Amazon is my go-to for all things that are generally online and in-store at a fixed price as a lot of times Amazon can find a way to get the prices lower. It’s not always the cheapest, but 90% of the time it is, and so keeping an eye on the prices there is going to keep more money in your bank account. Although, I highly recommend using HomeDepot.com and Lowes.com to find eligible rebates.
HomeDepot.com: Home Depot tends to be on top of the Nest Thermostat rebates better than the other retailers. And, the rebate forms are easy to find, which I love as well. If you want to easily find the rebate forms, head here to Home Depot and check out which Nest rebates are available for each of the models.
Lowes.com: It goes without saying that Lowe’s would be on this list of places to look for a Nest Thermostat deal, right? If you’re looking at Home Depot and Amazon it’s be-who of you to also look at Lowe’s right? And, like the other retailers, you’ll also find that there are rebates available on the Lowe’s online store as well.
Are Nest Rebates Available Often?
Like I mentioned above, Nest rebates are readily available, you just have to know where to find them and no worries, we’re here to help! On each retailers page you will find the rebates that are available.
You’ll find that the amount that the rebates are offered are dependent upon each of the models, and some are location specific so be sure to check them all to get the best one, print them right away, even before receiving your thermostat in the mail and get them sent out immediately so you don’t miss out on the savings.
Another place to look for a rebate on a Nest Thermostat (or any other smart thermostat for that matter) is with your energy company. The energy companies want your systems to be smart and they are oftentimes willing to compensate you for making your devices more energy efficient. The best place to find out if there are energy efficiency rebates or savings available in your area is to call your local energy company and ask the customer service representative on the phone. If they deny any rebates or savings, it’s often times worth it to ask for a supervisor just to confirm (it can’t hurt, right?!)
Is a Nest Thermostat Coupon Likely?
I hate to say it but coming across a Nest Thermostat coupon won’t be too likely. You’re best bet for savings on this super popular money and energy saving device is by submitting the rebates available.
Let’s Do a Nest Thermostat Comparison, Shall We?
OK, so in closing, you likely want to know what the difference is between all of the Nest Thermostat generations, right? I’m here to tel you!
Nest Learning 3rd Generation Thermostat: The 3rd Generation Nest Thermostat allows you to control temperatures at home via your smart device for precise temperature control. And, the Nest will learn your favorite settings and will automatically program itself. On average the Nest saves 10–12% on heating bills and 15% on cooling bills. That savings will likely pay for the Nest outright in one to two years.
Nest Thermostat E: The only difference that we can find between the two thermostats is the fact that the learning thermostat lights up when you are within reach with the farsight capability. If that’s important to you, you’ll want to spend a little more to have that feature. As for the rest of the feature set, both thermostats learn as you use them, both can be controlled using the Nest app, both can adjust the temperature based on your location (i.e. turning down when you leave your home or are returning), and both offer scheduling.
If you can skip the sensing feature and would rather have a thermostat that blends in instead of standing out, you can save about $80 by choosing the Nest Thermostat E, right?
That said the multiple color options of the Nest Learning Thermostat might be what you’re after, and Farsight might be worth the extra money for you. Lots of options here, I’d say! Either way, you’re going to love saving on energy bills!
