Strawberry Poke Cake Dessert

I threw this strawberry poke cake together for my mom's birthday (she prefers fruity over chocolate) and she absolutely loved it – and so did everyone else! This strawberry cake was first introduced to me by a girlfriend who brought it over one night when our families were having dinner together – seriously delicious! And, it's a great alternative to strawberry shortcake.
Make the cake as directed (have you heard that milk instead of water in a cake mix makes it taste just like a bakery cake?! 🙂  )
