Beef Stroganoff Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds stew meat or round steak cut into cubes
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 T flour
  • 1 T paprika
  • 1 lb. mushrooms
  • 2 c. beef bouillon
  • 2 c. sour cream
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut meat into 1 or just 1/2 inch squares.
  2. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Let stand for 2 hours.
  4. Heat skillet very hot, add butter and brown meat quickly.
  5. Add mushrooms and brown slightly.
  6. Remove beef and mushrooms.
  7. Blend flour with liquids in the pan.
  8. Add stock, paprika and sour cream. Do not boil after adding sour cream.
  9. Heat, add mushrooms and meat.
  10. Simmer atleast 30 minutes on low.
  11. Serve with egg noodles.
