Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 T butter
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 c. chopped cooked chicken
  • 3 cans 14 1/2 oz. chicken broth
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 8 oz. spaghetti noodles broken into 2 inch pieces
  • 1 t. poultry seasoning
  • 2 t. lemon pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • optional:
  • 5 celery ribs diced
  • 6 medium carrots diced

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in pot on low
  2. Add diced onion and saute until tender
  3. Stir in chicken and next 6 ingredients (or 8 if you're adding in the celery and carrots).
  4. Bring to a boil
  5. Reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes
  6. Stir in milk and return to simmer
  7. Remove from heat and let stand 10 minutes
