Looking for one of the easiest, hearty appetizer recipes you can make up for the big game? Here’s your recipe! These Teriyaki Flavored Chicken Wings are awesome, easy and you likely have everything in your fridge right now to make them! Well, you may need to pick up some wings for $5 or so, depending on the sale that you catch. 😉
- 3-lbs. chicken wings ($5-$8)
- 1/3 c. soy sauce
- 2 T. vegetable oil (you could also use coconut oil)
- 2 T. chili sauce
- 1/2 c. honey (If I don’t have honey, I use brown sugar)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4. tsp. ground red pepper (optional)
Wash the thawed chicken wings and pat dry. Remove and discard the wing tips. Separate each wing into two pieces. (Sometimes I skip this part if I’m short on time). Mix remaining ingredients and pour over the wings. Cover and refrigerate overnight, turning occasionally. Preheat the oven to 375°. Arrange the chicken wings on a foil-lined pan. Brush with marinade and bake 25 minutes. Turn the wings, brush with marinade and bake for 25 minutes longer. Discard remaining marinade.
If you’re taking these to a party, throw them in a crockpot to make them easy to carry – super easy and a huge hit!
