Easy Halloween Treats: Zombie Eye Pretzels
Looking for easy Halloween treats? You’re in the right place. We love making these Zombie eye pretzels. They’re easy to assemble Halloween treats and since they’re very Halloween-y (… is that a word?) I feel like the rest of my spread can be not as “spooky”, because with these sprinkled around the table they’re so spooky in themselves. Easy snack recipes like this are nice too as the kids can make them with me. Our daughter still loves to bake, so these are fun for us to make together and they’re so, so good with just the perfect amount of sweet and salty crunch.
Here’s how we make these Zombie Eye Pretzels…
Lay parchment paper on a baking sheet like this. I always use parchment paper when baking. It makes cleanup a breeze and has saved my sweets from burning on the bottom several times.
Next lay out your Pretzel Thins. I would hesitate to put many more than three rows by 7 or 8 rows. You’re going to want to be able to place your m&m’s on the Pretzel Thins while they’re still pretty gooey and warm, making sure they don’t have time to harden up before you’re able to do that.
Lay a lime green candy melt in the middle of each Pretzel Thin and bake at 250 degrees for four minutes.
Once the candy melts and pretzels are baked, quickly sprinkle the pretzels with red sprinkles and lay an m&m “m side down” on each candy melt.
Put a little black dot of cookie icing on the m&m. Something like this is great to use.
Let your Zombie Eye Pretzels sit for about an hour to harden up and you’re good to go – SO fun!
