So, if you’ve been hanging around here for any period of time at all, you may know about my obsession with tall boots and coffee. So, when a friend showed me her new legwarmers to make her boots look even more cute and trendy, I thought I just had to jump on that bandwagon… so, I did, and I must admit, I am in love. And every sweater in my closet, be forewarned, because, you also have a chance of going down!
Here’s my tutorial on how to make your own legwarmers:
Grab a sweater that you haven’t worn in forever, you know, the one you got at such a low price and bought it because you thought it would be cute. That. day. And, unfortunately never wore it again. I think I paid a total of $6 for the sweater that I sacrificed today, so, atleast less than a new pair of legwarmers and, I’m recycling.
Lay out your sweater on a flat, hard surface.
Cut the arms off of your sweater at an angle. It’s important to cut them off at an angle so that your heels can step on the longer side inside of your boots, prohibiting your legwarmers from inching up out of your boots.
Slide those puppies on your legs, remembering to have the longer side under your foot and slide your boot on. And, in case you’re wondering, I don’t really mind if they’re cut off on the bottom, because no one will see them, but me. But if you do, you could easily take a needle and thread and sew the bottoms up under inside the legwarmers.
Welcome to my wardrobe, new legwarmers. I already love you.
