Easy Ways to Save Money on Gym Clothes

So, you’ve already paid the gym membership – but why, oh why pay full price for new workout gear, right? Hear me on my top 7 ways to save money on gym clothes – take one piece of this and you’ll have (hopefully) saved enough to equal one months worth of a gym membership {wouldn’t that be nice!} Read on…

1. Buy on Clearance

There just aren’t many things that I’m willing to pay full price for – and workout gear is no exception to the rule. And, because the seasons and styles change out so frequently, it’s fairly simple to get great prices on workout gear. Check the clearance racks when shopping at the discount retailers like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc. Another great place to get discounted workout gear is 6pm.com here. They offer name brands at up to 80% off retail.

2. Take Care of What You Buy

Like most clothes, drying them in the dryer takes a real toll on them. And, the Lycra and moisture wicking fabrics that workout clothes are made of last longer when you allow them to drip dry on a drying rack.

3. Don’t Overbuy

If you work out three days a week, you may find that two outfits is plenty to get your through the week. Limit yourself when you do shop and you’ll be all set. And, overbuying may make your gym membership seem like too big of a commitment.

4. Consider Buying Off Brand

Brands like Champion (Target) and Danskin (Walmart) are great quality without the high pricetag. Buying brands like these will still get breathable and fitting gear without the not-so-comfy pricepoint.

When you know you’re in need of a new piece of gear, sports bra, whatever the case may be, give Raise.com a shot. This site allows you to buy discounted gift cards to places like TJ Maxx – and then you can purchase workout gear on sale – double the savings!

6. Online Consigning

Sites like one of my personal favorites ThredUp.com here offer brand name clothing – and some even with tags on still! Taking advantage of deals like this is huge! If you’re new to ThredUp, you get $10 for to spend on your first order and your second order, too at ThredUp when you sign up through my referral link here

7. Daily Deal Site Sales

Although the priciest option on my top seven, it’s still a very viable and great option to get discounted workout gear. There are two daily deals sites that I say really rock workout gear deals: Zulily and Groupon.
