Some people need to be retiisalc. If you only spent half price for the coupon that means the merchant was nice enough to front a credit of the other half so you could redeem full value. The merchant takes a 6month loss just to honor full value of the coupon/certificate in hopes to gain a new client. But when the coupon has expired the full value has expired and the customer is left with what they actually spent to redeem. Which is fair game because the merchant especially if its a small business will not agree to take a loss for the next 5 years or more to honor your full valued coupon all because you waited until the last min to use it. Some people who buy half-priced deals can be a bit aggressive and unretiisalc. Bottom line be happy that you can still at least redeem the amount you spent because all things that are too good to be true at some point must come to an end. #extreme couponers!
