How Do I Control My Facebook?
Heads up: This blog post is not "deal related" so pass this post if you're not interested...
Let me share with you something I've been fairly quiet about (but is eating away at me)...
Some of you may wonder why you're having a hard time seeing Coupon Cravings posts in your Newsfeed on Facebook. If you'll allow me to be brutally honest for a minute (or two) the fact is that Facebook is being a tad bit unfair. If you look at the image above, you'll see that Facebook is asking us (me) to pay a crazy amount of money ($100) to reach the fans that have already "liked" our page, and even more money if I want your friends to see our posts. Hmmm hmmm. Scandalous...
Now, allow me to reflect back a little. Before Facebook started allowing brands to buy your views, anywhere from 7,000 to 10,0000 of you awesome Coupon Cravers were seeing our posts. No more. Now, I am lucky if 1,000 of you do, because honestly, how can a blogger afford to pay that amount of money per post to have our fans (that want to see our posts) see our posts?
It's rubbish!
So, Kate "what do I do?"
I'm a fan of controlling what you can and not letting something get in your way that you can't control, so let me explain what you can do instead of using Facebook to see our deals.
Follow our Coupon Cravings blog itself Go to www.CouponCravings.com and mark it as a favorite of yours on your browser. That way, you'll be able to make just a couple swipes/clicks and voila! You've got the blog up and going. I'll be honest, that's the first place that information goes anyways, so you'll get access to freebies the fastest way by doing that.
Follow us on Twitter @couponcraving Use #cravesq anytime you want to speak directly with another Coupon Craver. This way it can be like our own little spot. Anytime I post something to Twitter, 'll also use the hashtag (#) #craveq. It'll be like our own conversations!
Follow us via RSS Feed If you use an RSS reader which an application that allows one line to show up from each blog post, (kind of like Facebook with no jokes or pictures) then follow us that way. It would be like checking the actual blog itself, but you see all sorts of blogs posts so you can go to that post directly.
Facebook. I know, I know, I just got done telling you about how bad and mean Facebook is. But, I'll still post there because it's an easy way for you to see our posts (if you're indeed seeing them, that is). Just make sure that you've chosen to "show in news feed" from heading to our home page. A little nudge doesn't hurt, right?
Lastly, I want to thank you for reading and staying with us. It'd be awfully lonely around here without you guys!
