Milky Way Cake

Ingredients:

• 14 oz. Milky Way miniatures
• 1 c butter
• 2 c sugar
• 4 eggs
• 2 ½ c flour
• ½ t baking soda
• 1 ¼ c buttermilk
• 1 t vanilla

Instructions:

1. In medium bowl melt candy bars and ½ c butter.

2. Cream sugar with the remaining ½ c butter.  Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.  Add flour and baking soda alternately with buttermilk, beating until smooth.  Add melted candy bars then vanilla.  Batter will be thin.

3. Pour batter into a Bundt pan that has been coated with cooking spray.  Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

3. Cool 5 to 10 minutes in pan then turn onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Frosting

Ingredients:

• 2 (1.75 oz.) Milky Way bars or 5 miniatures
• ½ c butter
• 2 c powdered sugar
• 1 t vanilla
• 1 to 2 T milk

Instructions:

Melt candy bars and butter.  Remove from heat and stir in sugar and vanilla.  Blend in enough milk to make frosting spreadable.

Frost cake when completely cooled.
