Monster Cookies With Pretzel M & M's ($1/1 Coupon Still Available)

Wondering what exactly to do with all of those Pretzel M & M's that we have the high value $1/1 coupon for (still available here)? Make Monster Cookies! I figured they would add in the perfect amount of crunch to an already family favorite of ours.
I am also on a quest to get our family to get more fiber in our diets, so I also secretly added in some Bob's Red Mill Wheat Germ that I got for just the cost of $4.99 shipping with my free $10 Vitacost credit. The wheat germ is not necessary and wouldn't change the outcome much, if any.
Monster Cookies (With yummy Pretzel M & M's and hidden wheat germ)
- 1 cup butter softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups quick cooking oats
- 2 cups crisp rice cereal
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips (I used mini chocolate chips)
- 1 1/2 cups Pretzel M & M's
- 1/4 cup Bob's Red Mill Wheat Germ
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Transfer to a large bowl if necessary. Stir in the remaining ingredients.

Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart onto lightly greased baking sheets (I use parchment paper and think it's one of the greatest inventions ever).

Bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit for 11-13 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool.
This recipe made 21 cookies for me, well... 20 now...
Enjoy!
