Video: Holiday Toy Drive
Let me tell you, I am loving all of the great toy sales I’ve seen on Amazon, as well as at Target, Toys R Us and Walmart. Not only have I been able to pick up toys for my kids, but I’ve been able to re-stock the birthday present closet and buy a bunch for Toys for Tots as well. And from the looks of articles I’ve seen, Toys for Tots is more in need than ever before.
So, I was excited to be able to hit my local Walmart with $100 to see what I could buy. I was able to pick up gifts for at least eight to ten kids, then take them to my local drop off point. What a great feeling. :)
My friend, Jenn, at Frugal Upstate was tasked with the same assignment, and boy does she have some great tips to make your money go as far as possible, including shop store brands, scout out sales and shop all year long, especially if you have the space to store up gifts. You check out all of her tips here.
So, are you buying any extra toys to donate to families in need this year? I’d love to hear about your experiences.
