Money-Saving iPhone App #19: Redbox

There’s a Redbox kiosk just down the street from me, inside the Harris Teeter, that I visit anytime I want to rent a movie. Unfortunately, it's also a very popular kiosk and the selection isn't so great, especially on the weekends. Enter the free Redbox app for iPhone and iPod Touch.

I love that I can just pop open the Redbox app on my iPhone, browse or search for movies I want to rent, and even reserve them. I especially like that the free Redbox app even tells me which Redbox has a movie I want if it's been checked out at the Harris Teeter kiosk.

The search and reserve features have saved us a lot of time (as well as spared a lot of disappointment when the movies the kids want are not at the Redbox). Plus, you can't beat $1 rentals, so this app  keeps us from heading to the far-more-expensive Blockbuster Video.
