Safeway: Cheerios for $.39 a Box

There’s a great deal at Safeway through Sunday (1/10) to get Cheerios for just $.39 a box. Here’s what you do:

You need to buy 3 boxes of cereal to get the $1.49 per box price. Safeway should double these coupons (my store doubles up to $.99 face value). If you are unable to print out three coupons (you may need two computers), you’ll find a $1/1 printable coupon for Cheerios here and here.

Mine says "Must buy 4." Still a good deal though.

Someone should do a sweepstakes and the prize would be a day's "coupon makeover" with you. :)

I'm in western WA, my store flyer also says "must buy 4". With a $1/1 coupon, $0.49/box, still a good deal.

  5. Thanks for sharing this great deal Erin! I checked my circular and it also says must buy 3 (Jessica - maybe yours is a regional variant one, or maybe you were looking at a different ad? The one on mine is in very small print "MUST BUY 3 To get discounted price" and this was the weekly circular from my Sunday Washington Post edition, prices good Sunday Jan. 3rd - Sun. Jan. 10th). I love to stock up on free and cheap cereal! I wrote a post about my current cereal stock pile here

  6. Hi Monica, I believe Erin got her numbers this way:

3 x $1.49 = $4.47 - (3) $0.55 IP (internet printable) coupons DOUBLED BY STORE (here in Northern Virginia there are many grocery stores that automatically double manufacturer coupons $0.99 and less, including Safeway), ie. $1.65 in manufacturer coupons and $1.65 in store doubling = $1.17 before tax, or $0.39 each

In my experience you can only print 2 coupons per computer from Coupons.com, so in order to print the 3 coupons you'll need to use 2 different computers. Or there are $1/2 IP coupons also on Coupons.com (but these wouldn't automatically double).
