Staples: Free 20-Pack of Duracell Batteries

I just started wrapping holiday gifts last night and realized I need to get some batteries ASAP. I bought each of my girls a Leapster 2 and I’m going to be in serious trouble by Christmas morning if I don’t have batteries on hand.

If you’re in the same boat as me, be sure to stop by Staples this week. This is the last week to get a 20-pack of Duracell batteries (a $12.99 value) for free after Staples Rewards rebate. Limit 2 per household. Click here to become a Staples Rewards member (it’s free!). You’ll receive your rebate in January.

Hey Erin,

I’ve been posting and blogging on this deal since they started, and I’m not sure why, but people are lapse to do the deal. So far, I have 5 packs of “free” batteries, and w/the reward dollars, I can easily buy ink or whatever else I want from Staples.

I’m not sure why more people aren’t picking up on this deal. If you did it correctly from the beginning, you could have gotten 200 batteries for free!!!!!

Be careful. I did this a couple times. Then I got reading the fine print. It appears that the “rebate” is for instore credit. Which is good for paper & ink purchases for the year, but not the same as a cash rebate. I don’t know if there’s a time limit to when the “rebate” must be used.

Here’s how it reads: Rewards®. Staples Rewards® will be mailed in January. Not valid on prior purchases. Purchaser is responsible for paying. applicable sales tax. No cash/credit back. While supplies last. Limit 2 per household per week.

Just a heads up! Also, look for the 10% off coupon on this week’s ad.

I checked my rewards account and don’t see that the rebate has been applied to my account for the batteries. It shows I have purchased them, but I don’t see anything showing I will be getting credit on my staples rewards. Anyone else?
