Have you finished up your holiday shopping yet? I had hoped to get most of mine done online but no such luck. The crowds may be bad, but I think the wrapping is worse! I know I’m going to need a lot of wrapping paper, and if you are too, be sure to check out Bargain Babe for wrapping tips as well as the scoop on where to find the best deals on holiday wrap.

Check out your local Dollar Store! You can get great gift wrap & bags for $1 each!
I used the $5.00 off of any purchase Hallmark coupons to score some AWESOME deals on wrapping paper. Currently, the Hallmark stores have their wrapping paper priced buy one @ $4.99 get one for $.99. I was able to score 2 rolls of giant heavy duty wrapping paper for about $1.06 after tax. I had my husbad in line behind me to do the same deal. So, 4 rolls of heavy duty wrapping paper for about $2.12. Sweet!
I’ve been using my Hallmark coupons for gift wrap. Right now they’re having a sale. Buy one roll for $4.99, get a second for .99.
I got wrapping paper 2 years ago from Costco, the giant rolls of reversable paper so its like 2 rolls in each roll. I want to say it was something like $8 per roll and i still have a ton! i’ve used them for 2 Christmas seasons so far and i wrap a lot of presents, i love to wrap and i wrap every little stocking stuffer and every gift so these rolls really go a long way. plus since they are double sided you can switch them up and change up the ribbon colors to make each one look different! I also like that the rolls are a little wider than the standard paper, this helps out when you have large boxes or odd shaped gifts!! hope that helps!
I agree with Katie, Costco has the best wrapping paper and ribbon. It’s a very high quality too.
I still need to do some last-minute shopping on Saturday – eek! I’m hoping it’s not too bad. My favorite thing to wrap with is paper grocery bags (just reverse them) or brown packing paper, and all sorts of creative bows on top. It’s cheap and it looks pretty modern too!
CVS has gift wrap BOGO from now until Saturday at least. Makes the rolls 1.50 each and I had ECBs to burn so it worked out well!
I used the $5 Hallmark coupon to take advantage of their buy one roll (at $4.99) and get one for $.99 – so I got 2 rolls for just over a $1, including tax!
I haven’t bought any wrap this year because I’m going to try to be a little creative with my kids gifts and use items and paper I already have. Wish me luck and I guess I better get started so I don’t end up with just Reynold’s Wrap or something. LOL
I think the dollar store isn’t really a good deal because you don’t get much for $1. I’ve never bought from Costco, but that sounds like a great deal. CVS sounds good to for BOGO. At least there’s one right up the street if I run out of ideas with trying to wrap green.
Why buy wrapping paper? Take a look at my article on alternatives to gift wrap for ideas on making your own, I’ve even highlighted The Frugal Girl’s idea for gift bags made out of old clothing and it will really knock your socks off at how beautiful they turn out…no pun intended!

Factory Card and Party outlet~ Christmas wrap for .99.
Dollar Tree has character wrap like Disney, Elmo, Jeff Gordon for $1.00
I got wrapping paper at Hallmark a few weeks ago, when they were buy one get one free. I had 2 $5 coupons from magazines, so I got 4 rolls for completely free! They have awesome paper, too, it is thick and dosen’t rip apart if you are in a hurry – the cheap paper does!
Nice ideas! Great use of the Hallmark coupon and thanks for pointing out the other great sales and wrapping paper alternatives!
Hi Erin & friends,
I am *constantly* throwing out art from my preschooler & Kinder-gartener, and the teacher this year suggested keeping it for wrapping paper. I think it will be great!! She’s been into these giant rolls of white paper with those children’s paints. The only thing, is that I can see the paint chipping/ rubbing/ and generally falling off! It might be interesting this weekend.
Buy your wrapping paper for next year at the end of this year! That is how I save a ton of $$. I get this year’s paper on clearance and save it for next Christmas. Kohl’s often has low prices after the holidays and Target does too.
