I saw this in a Starbucks today. I asked if it could be used for a gift card and the cashier said no… YMMV, of course, but FYI, to use multiple abbreviations in one sentence.

Same response at the one I visited, must be bean/coffee/etc purchase. I got a bag of Christmas coffee for 12.95 and a 3-pack of Via coffee as a stocking stuffer for 2.95, got the CD, and I can bring the bag of coffee back (packaging only) for a free coffee later. So a good visit~a little splurgy, but paying in cash so no pain later.
