Hello and thank you for another great freebie offer. I went to the Coinstar website and believe I thoroughly read all their specific online rules and it looks like your posting about getting a Gift Card is incorrect.
The Coinstar rules I just read states this offer is ONLY for an E Certificate, NOT a Gift Card.
Their rules also state if a person does NOT follow the exact rules, they will not get any Free $10 e certificate in the mail.
Can still "cash" in $40 of coins for an E Cert for Amazon.com, or JCPenney.com, or Lowes.com, but seems only for online purchases. Their gift cards for Starbucks or Borders do NOT seem to be part of this offer.
I hope this helps.
Get $10 More When You Change $40.
Don’t miss out! Now you can get an extra $10 when you take your coins to a Coinstar® machine and change $40 for a certificate.
Hurry! Offer ends 12/6/09
CORRECTION to my thinking I was helping. YES, Virginia, there is a GIFT CARD Santa Claus. Did not link to the 2nd page of rules and Coinstar Offer IS as you stated.
To get free $10 gift card by mail when you convert in a single transaction at least 40 U.S. dollars (in coins only) into a gift card or eCertificate at participating Coinstar Centers. The claim form will be displayed at the end of qualified Coinstar® receipts.
I am so sorry, I will go back in my corner and not offer input without my glasses any longer.
The visit was useful. Content was really very informative. http://www.chennaiflowerplaza.com
Do they charge you for using their coinstar machine. I mean do I only have to put 40.00 on coin in the machine to receive 40.00 in bills back, or do they take a percentage? Also what do they mean by qualifying coinstars, oes that mean not all machines will give the gift card offer?
Not all coinstar's offer the e gift cert of gift card. Be sure and check your location. I did this last year and was very disappointed to learn my coinstar did not offer this option.
FYI: Only 1 $10 GC or Ecert per name, address or household!!
FYI- I did this today only to be 73 cents short of $40.00.As I was fishing in my purse to find another 73 cents I must have took to long and it cashed me out. I did get my ecertificate for Amazon that I had selected but didn't get the form to mail in for the extra $10. So just make sure you have enough change and don't make it wait too long!
Buyer beware. I’ve used Coinstar to redeem over $150 worth in coins, only to receive a Gift Card Code that will not work on the Amazon.com website. I’ve contacted both customer service hot lines over the phone and email, but neither will claim responsibility for this problem. I will not use either business again.
