I’m not sure who can eat this much Chex Mix, but if you’re really into Chex Mix, then have I got a deal for you! My Baton Rouge Mommy has noted that you can get at least 12 bags of Chex Mix for FREE at Target, so here’s what you do.
First, pick up a copy of the Walgreens ad since Chex Mix is on sale for $1.50 this week. Target price matches, so they will honor this price.
Next, grab two $.50/1 printable coupons from each of these sources: Coupons.com, Smart Source, Bricks, Pillsbury and Betty Crocker. You’ll also find $.50/1 coupons in the 9/13 and 10/4 Red Plum inserts.
Finally, print out a $1/1 Target web coupon for each bag of Chex Mix you plan to buy, and pair this coupon with the manufacturers coupon.
Hurry, you have only until Saturday (10/24) to take advantage of this deal since that’s when the Target coupon expires and when the Walgreens sale price ends.

Just FYI to the poster who talked about Walmart's price match. Lately around here (Phoenix area) they have been giving out as much grief as you got at Target. One of the grocery stores here had London Broil on sale. When I asked for the price match at Walmart they wouldn't give it to me because the ad said "Boneless Beef London Broil" and their packaging said "Top Round London Broil". They also refuse to match when the competitor ad is buy 10 eligible items and get X amount of dollars off. I've given up going to them for price matching. Luckily I have all of the grocery store chains close to me so it's not too much time or $ to go to them instead.
Manipulating Target this way is dishonest. Period. It is clearly not the intent of their various specials and coupons, and to misuse them this way puts you in company that is, I hope, unwelcome.
Well a large part of the problem is that Target's coupons say "One offer per transaction". At my stores they will not let you do multiple transactions-and so all you could possibly walk away with is one bag of free chex mix. Not worth it to me especially with all the grief the targets near me cause folks over couponing.
lol at the person who said its dishonest TO TARGET! Target isnt losing money, Target gets paid when they turn in the coupons to the manufacturers. Come on now if they didnt want to print coupons they wouldnt.
walmart in Lake Worth, TX does price match and does not ask to see ads, well there are maybe one or two cashiers that will ask for it but aren't suppose to. they will price match coupons from target, albertsons, kroger as long as they have a final price on the coupon. and they don't keep the coupon so you could do it over and over. you can also price match from home depot lowes as long as the price. isn't outrages they won't question it
The coupons say "No other coupon may be used with this coupon." How do you get past that?
My coupons say "one offer per transaction" or "one coupon per purchase." I just printed them off.
I love this idea. Not to mention since my husband works at target he'd get an extra 10% off…not too shabby.
Hi Everyone! Just completed my transaction in Jersey City, NJ New Port location and it work out fine. Keep the good information flowing. Thanks!
Just went to Target with 6 coupons and was given a hard time since I had 6 Target coupons and 6 Manf Coupons which made 6 free after price match from Walgreens. The cashier told me the Target coupon was limited to one per trans with manf coupon. Would not let me do mulitple transactions. Was only able to get one free bag tonight. Guess I will have to try again tomorrow.
Didn't worlk in Lakewood Ca 2 bags still cost me $1.00 with coupons
I agree with the person who said this is dishonest. Why would anyone think this practice is o.k.? What kind of upbringing did you all have? Were your parents dishonest? This is a small issue but, on a larger scale, this is what is wrong with the world. Everyone is trying to get away with whatever they can, and are concerned only for themselves. How pathetic!
TARGET – Largo, FL. Was only able to get the Chex Mix by paying $1.00 per bag. Said they don't take multiple coupons. Wouldn't do this again with Target.
ABOUT DISHONESTY – Manufacturers know ahead of time how many coupons they are putting out there. Their marketing departments do this for many reasons, but in a case like this, it is usually due to either: Overproduction, packaging change, formulation change, market share (sales figures), branding (getting their product out there so people will repeat buy – like before the holidays), and because it allows them to buy their ingredients in larger volumes while keeping the retail price the same. So don't fret, deals like this actually HELP the manufacturer. I know they will do something like this, and even enclose another coupon INSIDE the product you are buying.
You people with your griping, pissing and moaning! A policy is a policy………..I work for Target and WE employees have to do OUR JOB! Target pays very bad wages, very low and yes I too like cheap, discounted and even free items, however not getting them by being manipulative, lying, theiving or thinking I deserve more or better just because I don't know how to read or follow rules and policies. What happened to the "Value" of COMMON SENSE? why have so many people lost their damn scrupples? Do not come to my check out lane……….I am the Coupon Nazi and everyone I train follows my example! Arrogant, ignorant individuals!
Consumers using coupons is a win win situation for retailers. They are reimbursed by the vendor and are paid again by the same vendor for letting consumers use coupons.Retail companies love coupons…it is a behind the scenes way of enhancing their profit. The problem lies with the person accepting the coupon from the customer. They think they are getting scammed or flat don't like the idea of someone getting something for FREE, especially an armfull of items or even a bascart full. These attitudes also flow up to some management and shouldn't. Target or whoever is not losing one penny over coupon usage. Even those who double, the only shrink their profit but are willing to do so to attract the customer. Those who are angry are those who aren't getting free stuff themselves. Its out there, you just have to dig for it.
IT WORKED!!!!
If you hate working at Target so much, why don't you get another job? It's perfectly okay to combine coupons for a free item. Maybe you are just annoyed that you are not making enough money and using coupons occupies more time at YOUR register!
No matter where you go, you find insanity from so many "liberal" thinkers out there. The coupons are there for using to get shoppers into the stores to possibly buy more than what is on the coupons. I guarantee they are not loosing money. This is figured into their advertising budgets. Ever heard the term "loss leader? This is where a store sells something below their cost so they can attract shoppers. Maybe you shouldn't buy these items because it is dishonest to cause them to lose money… Good Grief use your brain people.
Hello Everyone! I tried this method on Friday in, Jersey City(Newport), NJ store and everything went as planned. Thanks Keep the good advice comming.
Look out, another "liberal" looney here who finds this reprehensible. You are that jerks who I'm always stuck behind in line: the sorry sows who holds up everyone who has a life by moaning about some coupon or discount. How much of a mooch do you have to be to do this? I'm guessing if you love Chex Mix so much that you'd pull off this nonsense, you probably shouldn't be snarfing it by the ("free") bag full. And to the ignoramus who said "if you don't like your job at Target, quit"…that is THE classic a-hole comeback. Furthermore, coupons actually aren't meant for nabbing as much free stuff as you can when you have to combine a dozen of them to manipulate the store. Some people have NO dignity.
when a coupon says "limit one" or "not valid with any other offer" THAT'S WHAT IT MEANS. Of course the vendors and the stores know that there are people out there who will try to manipulate the system. That does not make it right. You people are what is wrong with our society. And to make matters worse, you train your children that it is o.k. to rip off businesses. sad sad sad
