Coupons are a wonderful way to make money & it ticks me off when people try to cheat w/ them. Of course you can't use BOTH coupons in a single transaction. (sigh) This really needs to be explained? The employee was not snotty at all. She was just explaining the obvious to the dumb and she did it in a nice way. My post would have said something like this "To all those dumbasses who think they can use BOTH coupons on 1 transaction, grow a brain'' Seeeee?? Now THATS rude! hahaha I love Bath & Body Works. Shopped there for over 10 yrs the employees are very helpful but not bothersome, a good combination. THeir prices are RIDICULOUS but luckily they offer sales & coupons often. I would never shop there without a coupon. Their stuff is totally YUMMY! Have a nice day everyone.
i also work at bath n body…and we are taught to great every customer at the door, if u dont need help just say…and fyi it is rude to the workers and everyoe else around u to talk on your cell phone when entering a store, asking questions and when bein rang up…so leave your cell phones in the car!!!
all this about the use of a coupon, just use it and find out the rules associated with each store. it is annoying to have to make two separate purchased, yes but so what if you can save some money
Actually, you can use BOTH coupons at one time of purchase. They will do two different transactions for you. I have used 6 coupons at one visit before, they just do them in 6 different transactions.
Another BBW employee here… in most stores they will take coupons up to three days after expiration date. Also to those of you wondering where to get coupons, if you sign up for emails on the website or by giving them your email address at time of purchase you will receive emails that sometimes contain coupons that you can print off and bring in. Also most of the time we will put a coupon in your bag with every purchase. You can also receive coupons in the mail if you give your phone number at time of purchase.
The friendliness of associates varies from store to store… it also varies depending on manager on duty and the current attitude of employees working. I always try to keep in mind that you never know what is going on in someone else's life, they may not be in the mood to talk to me about how much they might like lotion. I once got upset over a customer being kind of rude to me… only to find out a few minutes later that she had attended chemotherapy for the first time that day and really just wanted to be pampered.
It is our job to greet you and offer our assistance… please be thoughtful and polite by saying "no thank you I'm just looking" and most employees will leave you be.
As a former BBW manager, I just want to say a couple of things. First of all, the employees in any particular store usually have nothing to do with making the rules. The shots are called by a district mgr or someone even higher up. The records will show which cashier wasn't following protocol, so shoppers shouldn't expect special favors. Second, to the person who was told to bring her return back on a different shift–that is just WRONG! She should have never done that to you and you have every right to be angry. You should have reported her to her boss. Trying to manipulate customers like that to make a sales goal is NOT allowed. Personality varies from person to person–just look at the posts here–so even though BBW tries to hire friendly, respectful associates, not every customer will be pleased with their interaction with every employee. This thread reminds me that I don't miss working retail, especially this time of year when everyone gets grumpy.
All of you people are rediculous! any way to scam the system and save a fuckin' penny! Also for the morons who choose to be snotty when an employee asks if you need help- wear a sign denoting that you are in a bitchy mood for some reason and you would choose not to be asked if you need help. Usually, people that are that snotty are up to no good and use the "attitude" as an excuse so they would have an easier time stealing
The holidays bring the worst out in everyone! Give the retailers a break…it's not that serious. When I'm wronged by a scumbag customer in a store, I just remember that I am better than him/her and they must live a really stressful gross life
The bottom line people, (All of you who are complaining), is that because a person works in the retail service market, you think they are below you and have to jump at your beck and call. Well as someone who worked and retired from the retail market, I have had to deal with a lot of you UPPITY BITCHES, and if I know anything I know that none of you are above anyone who works retail. These people put in long hard hours just so people like you can come in and destroy displays, tear open packages, abuse employees and leave without buying anything. You are the one who are low on the human scale, NOT THE RETAIL EMPLOYEE!!! Wake up, why do you think prices keep going up, to make up for the losses caused by you people. Just treat people like you would want to be treated, is that so difficult. People like you should be banned from shopping.
You could not have said it better. Half the time the customer does not read the entire add sign. Comes up to the register and says the sign said 50 percent off. No folks, You need to read the whole thing, It says buy one get the secound on at 50 percent off. Either put your glasses on before you enter the store or learn how to read. Try working one day at christmas season. You will know what we get to go thru.
the store in taunton, ma will let you use as many coupons as you want but they are separate transactions. if business want to stay in business, they better figure out how to accommodate their customers.
WOW… PEOPLE WASTE THEIR TIME REALLY!?? AND ANYWAYS U CANT USE THE COUPONS NOW BECAUSE THEY ARE FREANKING EXPIRED ANYWAYS!!! GET OFF OF THE SUBJECT!!!!
SHUT THE FUCK UP!
To the person who said leave your cell in the car….My father is dying and I keep my cell with me at all times just in case so for you to say leave my phone is the car is just as rude as what you are accusing us of. I too think it's rude to talk on the phone during a transaction but what I do while I'm shopping is none of your fing business…maybe I'm calling someone to find out what scent they want!!! That's more business for the company! Welcome to the 21st century old timer!
1st of all, there are rules for a reason. if they let every customer get their way where would they stop??
it's pretty simple. if you don't like the way the employees are treating you/helping you, don't shop in the stores. shop online, or don't buy the products at all. you don't need these products to survie, they're not oxygen. and any loyal customer knows that bbw is about helping the customer, and showing her what is best. shoppers don't know all the details and the employees are there to help them. being coroperitive often results in extra coupons, or a heads up when something may be on sale. they just want to pay there bills too, look at the economy. if you dont like it, go to walmart with the rest of the bahumbugs.
this is the holiday season, stop being so greedy.
It's the most WONDERFUL time of the year………
Hey I think saveing money is great no matter how hard or long it takes!
I grow weary of those comments on here where people use jargon such as “cheat the system” in reference to using two coupons in a single transactions. Did you know, before passing judgement, that Walgreens, CVS, Kroger, Target and Kmart DO usually allow (and even encourage) what is called “stacking coupons” – where you can use two coupons at once on the same purchase? Just today I did that at Walgreens, using a $5 coupon from their store, and a $2 manufacturer’s coupon on Curel Body Lotion- this made the total due only $.49! Many stores do allow various “stacking” whether of their own coupons plus another source, or multiple offers. It’s not cheating the system to make the most use of your money. I save $40 a week, using coupons- which is 2K a year! I save this up each week, out of my grocery budget. Each time I use a $1 coupon off my regular grocery budget, I bank the money I would have spent. Each year I can save enough up to pay a bill off or help my college kids with their school books- And I don’t make any more money in earned income to do so. I am just cautous with my spending .
Don’t assume those who use coupons or ask questions about the nature of these promotions are “cheating the system” these individuals are instead being wise with their budget- a thing many of us should have been doing years ago, as a nation.
I love your Store and I would like to recive your Coupons please!
Love, Regina Marie Coblentz
I totally agree with mrs bankrupt. I’ve been using coupons for over 20 years. ALSO, if you don’t undersand the laws of retail vs wholesale or the costs to produce an item, you should NOT jump down the throats of people who know how to save “THEIR” money. You should be taking a closer look at the companies themselves. These companies are in the business to “MAKE money” in order to do so…they “TAKE” your money, with or without your knowledge or permission. So wise up! These companies are the ones who create these coupons in the first place, then they are published all over the country, they already guesstimate what percentage of them will get use, how much this will affect their bottom line, this is already done, by market surveys, costs analysis. When this country almost ran into a recession, it was becsause RETAIL SPENDING WAS DOWN…amongst a ‘few’
other things.
