CVS: Is Hawaiian Tropic the Only Good Deal?

I thought Walgreens was bad this week, but CVS is really bad this week. I don’t see any freebies, but maybe it’s because CVS had so many “free after coupon” deals that they needed a break too.

Your best bet may be Hawaiian Tropic sun lotion. The ad says get $10 Extra Care Bucks when you buy two bottles. It also says prices start at $8.99, yet CVS.com lists prices as low as $6.29. So, if you buy two of the $6.29 bottles and use two $2/1 printable coupons, you’ll walk away with two bottles for free plus $1+ overage after the $10 ECBs.

However, be on the lookout for smaller bottles or even travel-size tubes. If history is any indicator, you may be able to get $10 ECBs when spending just a few dollars on the travel bottles. I remember this was pretty much always the case last year. No guarantees, but it may be worth a try if you have time to browse CVS.

So, besides the Hawaiian Tropic, are you finding any other great CVS deals this week? Have I missed anything really good?

I’ll be honest, this is not an exciting week at Walgreens. In fact, I see just one freebie, so I branched out this week to include several pretty good cheapies too. But hey, there were five freebies last week, so I’ll give Walgreens a pass this week. :)

Bayer Heart Health Advantage: buy 2 for $9

Receive $2 Register Rewards
Final Price = $1.50 each

Bic Soleil Disposable Razors (4-pk): $4.99
Use $3/1 coupon from 5/17 Smart Source insert
Receive $1 Register Reward
Final Price = $.99

Country Time Lemonade: buy 2 for $3.98
Use $1.50/2 printable coupon
Final Price = $1.24 each

Crystal Light Drink Mix: $1.99
Use $1/1 printable coupon
Final Price = $.99

Ecotrin (45 ct): $2
Use $2/1 printable coupon
Receive $2 Register Rewards
Final Price = FREE plus $2 overage

Listerine Total Care: $4.99

Are there any other great Walgreens deals out there this week? I’d love to hear from you!

Harris Teeter: Free Skintimate & Edge Shave Gel

I was at Harris Teeter yesterday stocking up during Triple Coupon Days, and noticed that both Skintimate and Edge shave gel (full-size) were on sale for 2 for $4. This sale was not featured in this week’s ad.

So, through Tuesday, use the $.75/1 Edge coupon from the 5/17 Smart Source insert or the $.75/1 Skintimate coupon from the 4/26 Smart Source insert to get each for free. You will not get overage on this deal since the coupon will only multiply up to the sale price. Still, I picked up lots of free shave gel for me and my husband!
