I posted early this morning about a new campaign from Betty Crocker to get a coupon for a FREE package of Betty Crocker mashed potatoes when you submit your favorite everyday mashed potatoes recipe by 3/31. All of a sudden, two days into the campaign, it’s ended.
I’ve since pulled the post, but wanted to reinstate it because I’m curious. This was supposed to run through the end of March, and now all of a sudden, it’s over. Does anyone have any insight into the problem? I was really looking forward to free mashed potatoes!
UPDATE: I heard back from Betty Crocker via Twitter and they actually ran out of coupons in the first two days. They clearly did not anticipate the demand for free product coupons, and honestly I was kind of surprised they had so underestimated. Anyway, I’m guessing this will be a “learning moment.”
Oh well, at least you can still get a $10 coupon booklet by mail from Betty Crocker when you sign up for their email newsletter. Almost as good as free mashed potatoes!
