Yesterday I posted a tip from Alyssa at Keeping the Kingdom First who said that Coppertone Baby Face Sticks (priced between $4.69-$4.99) worked toward the CVS buy-two-Coppertone-products-get-$10-ECBs deal. A money-maker if not a break-even deal for sure.
Now today I’ve seen several sources including Deal Seeking Mom and Mama2ce report that the ECB deal is also working when you buy two Coppertone lip balms ($1.99 each). However, I’ve also heard that some people are having trouble finding both the face sticks and the lip balms.
So now I have two questions for you:
1) Do you think that CVS is actually able to exclude the lip balms from the deal in their computer system? Or, do you think they just hope that adding “excludes lip” to the ad will keep people from taking advantage of the deal?
2) Do you think that once CVS gets word that shoppers are using the face sticks and lip balms toward this deal that they put out an all-store bulletin to remove the items from the shelves? Or do you think they just sell out fast once the news hits the blogosphere?
Would love your thoughts, so please leave me a comment.
